Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival
Arrive at Himalayan Wildlife Sanctuary via Danda bazar, which is approx. 6 kms from the main highway. Upon arrival, there will be a short briefing on the program and our facilities and the rooms will be assigned.
Lunch
At 1:00 O’clock Lunch is served
Village Visite
3:00 PM: Village Visit: Proceed for a walk to visit the nearby village for a guided tour to immerse yourself in local Tharu culture. Our naturalist will brief you about the social and cultural aspect of the villagers and their lifestyle. Walk back to the resort.
Slide presentation And Tharu Stick dance
7:00 PM: Slide presentation. One of our jungle experts will introduce background data and history of the Royal Chitwan National Park as well as some other topics relating to wildlife. Your questions are most welcome.
OR
Tharu Stick dance: Farmers of the nearby villages will show some of their traditional skills and dances.
Dinner
8:00 PM: Dinner in the dining hall.

Day 2

Wake-up call
6:00 AM: Wake-up call followed by tea or coffee.
Breakfast
6:30 AM: Breakfast at the resort.
Nature Walk
7:30 AM: Nature Walk: Strap on your walking boots, take a sturdy bamboo walking stick and prepare for a pure exploration and excitement with our naturalist for a guided tour of the jungle.
Jeep Safari/Boating
3:30 PM: Jeep Safari/Boating: Commence for a jungle drive. After the drive come down to the banks of the Narayani River at boating put in point. Start boating in a traditional patela boat for about 45 minutes which takes you on a silent trip down the Narayani River to view aquatic birds, crocodiles, Gharials and the animals of the river banks. After boating enjoy and relax for a sundowner.
(Note: Jeep Safari is prohibited during monsoon season by the park authorities from June-September and in some season it can prolong till October)
Lunch at the dining hall
1:00 PM: Lunch at the dining hall Free to relax or take a swim in our large swimming pool which beckons temptingly on a sunny afternoon

Day 3

Bird Watching
5:30 AM: Bird Watching: Wake-up calls followed by tea/coffee then proceed for bird watching. With an astounding 848 species of birds identified in the country, 543 species of birds are recorded in the park. Hence, the area around the resort is considered a sanctuary for bird watchers. Our guides will help you to identify some of the species of these birds.
Breakfast
8:00 AM: Breakfast at the resort.
Luggage down
9.30 AM: Luggage down and departure to your destination.
Please Note
The actual program for your stay with us will be given to you on arrival at Resort. The activities are adjusted to the length of your stay, the season and present weather conditions. Naturally, it may not always be possible to follow this schedule to the minute and the circumstances may force us to alter the program at short notice. On safari in the jungle, you will be accompanied by our expert naturalists who will advise on safety procedures and we request you to respect their judgment at all times. If you wish to stroll in the forest alone, a guide will have to accompany you for your safety.
